Workshop Description

This workshop focuses on clinical skills and knowledge required for rheumatology nurse to provide excellent care within rheumatology. This activity includes 3 interactive sessions:

    • Clinical pearls for Rheumatology nurse: Rheumatologist view
    • Nurse-led care in infusion room: Shared lessons and experience
    • Rheumatology Nurses: Adding values to arthritis care
    • Disease Activity Measures and Joint Count

Educational Objectives

Demonstrate knowledge about common rheumatic disease seen in rheumatology clinic
Demonstrate knowledge about biologics provided to rheumatology patients in infusion room.
Recognizing possible emergencies in infusion room and how to manage them.
Reviewing the role of the nurse in rheumatology clinic and in rheumatic disease registry
Demonstrate Knowledge about measuring disease activity and joint examination
